Feel the power
in the heart of the trunk
of the ancient oak tree.
Hear the wind
rustle through the branches
of this ancient one.
Her branches
reach high in the sky,
yet there is no doubt
of the ground below,
roots sinking deep
and wandering wide
Embrace the wholeness
of these roots
burrowing deep,
these branches
reaching high
and the stability
and power
at the heart of
the trunk
of the ancient oak tree.
My intention for this painting was bringing in the strength and solidity of the mighty oak. I received an image of the Kabbalah tree of life symbol making up the design of the bodice of her dress. I also added to her garment flower of life symbols containing within them the Vesica Pisces symbol.
I loved creating her bodice. The original piece has faceted, round crystals on each point of the tree of life. Also, more adornment has been added to her crown.
