When painting her I remembered a particular incident when I was sixteen years old, working at a restaurant as a waitress. The owner had an affable, yet strange, twisted energy, but, that's another story.  While I was working that day, I found I couldn’t continue because of menstrual cramp pain.  My parents were working and I didnt get that I could have just called a taxi, so I began walking those four miles or so to get home.  On the way, in severe pain. I probably looked so vulnerable.  I saw a call pull up and thought “Oh, thank god, someone I know has come to pick me up.”  Relieved, I opened the door to get in, but, when I looked at the driver, I realized I didn’t know him . I said “I don’t know you!” and he said “No, it's alright, get in, get in!”   His energy was off, his face like a void.  It felt terrible. I closed the door and luckily he drove away. I felt like if I had gotten into that car I wouldn’t be alive. He looked like he was out hunting for prey.
