Dear One,
Soak in my sacred water,
let it seep into your cells
and soul,
like taking perfume
into your lungs.

Let the sacred vibrations
of the divine
surround and permeate you.

May the waters
clear your mind,
your heart,
and your body.  

Drink of the water.
Feel the cooling
flow down your throat,
soothing the fire of
pain and denial,
rage and aggression.

Let the water
go all the way through you,
reaching every moment
of your being.

Feel the sacred light
envelope and emanate
through you,
as you rest deeply,
take in deeply,
this Sacred Sacrament
in to your heart,
your burning heart.

There's a story about a fourteen year-old French girl, Bernadette Soubirous, who, over a number of days, had visitations from the Virgin Mary.  Her revelations caused quite an upheaval in her hometown of Lourdes. During one of her visions, Mary told her to dig in a particular, dry spot on the ground.  As she did, a spring arose which is now the world-renowned location of the healing waters of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Towards the end of painting Her, I heard the words, “Swim in the Sacred Waters of Perfume,” which became the subtitle for the painting.
