When I first tuned into her, I received a vision of a big, big head of red curly hair (the higher the hair, the closer to God ;-)) with stars interspersed among the tendrils. I worked on the painting for some months and then she lay dormant, hibernating. When I heard about a Mary Magdalene gallery show requesting images, the energy of her, seemed to galvanize me as the painting came alive. I felt in my bones she was supposed to be in that show. I had to try. She ended up being featured in their promotions and printed on the tickets (which felt a little odd, frankly), but, it felt like she wanted to show her face and be out and about in the world - and she was.
